It is an anti-infective used on the skin for the treatment of acne in adults. Do not use Dalacin T Topical Lotion. Dalacin T is a topical gel that contains an antibiotic called clindamycin. It is used to treat acne vulgaris, a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. It is used to treat conditions that are caused by infection with certain types of bacteria. The topical solution is used to treat acne. It may take up to 8 weeks for improvement to be seen. It has antiacne and antibacterial activity. It binds with the 50s subunit of the bacterial ribosome and inhibits the early stage of protein synthesis. It is highly potent against gram positive and anaerobic bacteria. In the event of accidental contact with sensitive surfaces (eye, abraded skin, mucous membranes), bathe with copious amounts of cool tap water. Dalacin T is an antibiotic lotion used on the skin to help treat acne. Dalacin T is not addictive. This medicine is available only with a doctor’s prescription. Dalacin T works by decreasing acne lesions and/or stopping the growth of skin bacteria that cause acne. Use of DALACIN T results in absorption of the antibiotic from the skin surface (see Pharmacokinetic properties).
